Individual Therapy

A Space to Be Seen and Heard

Making the decision to start individual therapy is a courageous act of self-care. It is a commitment to yourself—an invitation to slow down and explore the parts of your life that feel heavy, stuck, or misunderstood.

In our work together, my primary responsibility is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can bring your whole self. Whether you are navigating a specific crisis or feeling a persistent sense of "longing" for something more, we will work collaboratively to make sense of your experience.

How I Work: A Relational Approach

I work through the lens of Relational Transactional Analysis. This means we don’t just look at your 'symptoms'; we make sense of them by looking at the patterns in your relationships and how your unique history and identity shape how you move through the world.

The relationship we build becomes a microcosm of your world, allowing us to gently observe and shift the patterns that play out in your life outside the room. We will:

  • Identify Patterns: Understand the emotional cycles that keep you feeling stuck.

  • Explore Identity: Look at how your race, gender, sexuality, and background impact your sense of belonging.

  • Process Trauma: Gently work through past experiences that continue to affect your present.

  • Practice Connection: Use our relationship in the room to experiment with new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Note: I am particularly interested in working with the complexities of intimacy, the weight of shame, and the impact of power and oppression on our mental wellbeing.

This is a pressure-free space to discuss what brings you to therapy and ask any questions about my approach.
